Smoke, heat & carbon monoxide
Fire detection that tells you where.
A smoke alarm beeping in an empty house helps nobody. We fit linked smoke, heat and carbon monoxide detection that sounds everywhere at once, tells your phone exactly which room, and checks itself, so you are not up a ladder at 3am hunting for a chirp.
The difference
The usual way, and ours.
- When there is smoke
- The usual alarm: One alarm sounds, in one room.
- Our way: Every detector in the house sounds together.
- When you are out
- The usual alarm: Nobody knows.
- Our way: Your phone gets the room, the type of alarm and the time.
- Upkeep
- The usual alarm: A low-battery chirp at 3am, somewhere.
- Our way: Battery and dusty-sensor warnings in the app, well ahead of time.
What you get
Fire & CO for homes, done properly.
- 01
Smoke, heat and CO
The right sensor for each room: heat in the kitchen, smoke on the landing, carbon monoxide by the boiler and the log burner. Combined detectors mean fewer holes in the ceiling.
- 02
Linked through the house
When one detector goes off, they all do, so whoever is asleep at the far end of the house hears it too.
- 03
Fewer false alarms
Detectors double-check before raising the alarm, and you can silence burnt toast from your phone instead of flapping a tea towel.
- 04
Works with everything else
A fire alarm can switch the lights on along the way out, unlock the doors, stop the ventilation and kill the music. If it is in the house, it can help.
- 05
Landlords and holiday lets
Alerts reach you wherever you are, with a log of every test and event. Handy when the property is an hour away and the guests are not answering.
- 06
No rewiring
Wireless, battery-powered detectors, with mains-powered versions where you would rather. Ideal for finished homes and period properties.
How we work
From first chat to handover.
- 1
A proper conversation
You tell us what worries you, how you live and what you already have. We ask annoying questions about side gates and spare keys.
- 2
A look at the property
We walk it the way a burglar, a fire or a burst pipe would, and plan coverage, wiring and where everything goes.
- 3
Fitted tidily
Wireless where it saves your walls, wired where it makes sense. Dust sheets down, cables hidden, everything tested.
- 4
Handed over, then looked after
We set up the app with you, show everyone how it works and stay on the end of the phone afterwards.
Questions
Fire & CO for homes: what people ask.
Do the detectors need wiring in?
No. They are wireless and battery powered, with mains-powered versions available. That means far less mess in a finished home.
Should I have carbon monoxide detection near my log burner?
We would always recommend it. We put CO detection near anything that burns fuel, and in or near the rooms where people sleep.
Will this cover what I need for my rental or holiday let?
We will talk you through what is normally expected for your type of property and design to suit. You should always confirm your own legal obligations with your local authority, insurer or letting agent.
