CCTV
Cameras that tell a person from a pony.
Most CCTV records everything and tells you nothing, until you have scrubbed through six hours of footage looking for one moment. We set cameras up to recognise people and vehicles, alert you only when it matters and give you clear pictures at night, so you can actually use what you paid for.
The difference
The usual way, and ours.
- Alerts
- The usual alarm: Every moth, tree and passing headlight.
- Our way: People and vehicles, in the areas you care about.
- At night
- The usual alarm: Grey, grainy smudges.
- Our way: Usable images from proper low-light cameras and lighting.
- Finding footage
- The usual alarm: Scrub through hours of recording.
- Our way: Jump straight to the events that matter.
What you get
CCTV, done properly.
- 01
Smart detection
Person and vehicle detection with zones and lines you draw, so the bins blowing over or a New Forest pony on the verge does not wake you up.
- 02
Recording you own
Footage is kept on a recorder in your property, not only in somebody else’s cloud. Remote viewing is encrypted and yours to control.
- 03
Lit to be seen
We plan cameras and lighting together. Sometimes the best camera upgrade is a well-placed floodlight.
- 04
Already got cameras?
We can often make an existing system smarter rather than ripping it out. Tell us what you have and we will tell you honestly.
- 05
Part of the bigger picture
Cameras can switch lights on, show who is at the gate on your TV, and back up an intruder alarm with video.
- 06
Privacy done properly
Cameras cover your property, not your neighbour’s, with privacy masking where something should not be recorded.
How we work
From first chat to handover.
- 1
A proper conversation
You tell us what worries you, how you live and what you already have. We ask annoying questions about side gates and spare keys.
- 2
A look at the property
We walk it the way a burglar, a fire or a burst pipe would, and plan coverage, wiring and where everything goes.
- 3
Fitted tidily
Wireless where it saves your walls, wired where it makes sense. Dust sheets down, cables hidden, everything tested.
- 4
Handed over, then looked after
We set up the app with you, show everyone how it works and stay on the end of the phone afterwards.
Questions
CCTV: what people ask.
Do I need permission to put up CCTV at home?
Not usually. But if a camera captures anything beyond your boundary, such as a road or a neighbour’s garden, data protection rules apply. We position cameras to avoid that where we can, and can point you to the ICO’s guidance for home CCTV.
Can I watch the cameras on my phone?
Yes, live and recorded, from anywhere, and on a TV or tablet at home if you like.
How long is footage kept?
It depends on how many cameras you have and how much storage we fit. We size the recorder for how far back you want to be able to look.
